Preparing Shooting Equipment

In preparation of filming my documentary, I conducted research on the equipment I would need for the project. With limited access to cameras and high quality production equipment, I decided to use an iPhone 13 that I have access to as my primary visual recorder. 


To maintain my camera stable, I scouted amazon for a non-expensive, but durable tripod that could be used at multiple heights. I decided to purchase a Gahenwo tripod as seen in the image below. Reaching 64 inches and easily compatible with my iPhone 13, the tripod will help me effectively capture the footage I need. 


 


Another integral part of my documentary is the interviews I will capture that add an insightful perspective to the story I am telling. In order to conduct these interviews, I had to purchase a microphone that is portable to my iPhone 13 and that could reach the length I need from my subject and camera or a wireless one. After doing more research, I purchased the MAYBESTA Omnidirectional Lapel Microphone seen in the image below. By avoiding a cable, the wireless microphone will make the interview look more professional in its setting,
